And the shadow of the day, Will embrace the world in grey, And the sun will set for you - Shadow of the day, by Linkin Park

Finally! After three days, I am finally done with my granddad's birthday gift! Well, this one you see here only took about 5 hours, but I was trying to make something ells. This photo, by Saraeo ->
It's my favorite photograph of hers and I wanted it to be something special. But just as I thought I almost was finished, I screwed up and realized, "this just wont do..." So I painted over it and made this one instead.
I looked at this one, also from her, for help with the trees ->

I know it's no Tuesday, but at least I was able to make a painting that I was happy with and could give away with pride ^^ I didn't wanna give my granddad something that I felt I had failed, also since I don't intend to make two paintings with the same motive, so...

Anyways, Thank you so much =saraeo for letting me use your beautiful photos as refs! When I get back into painting and learn more about blending, then I will try again with Tuesday and make it really awesome! (Though I think I'll make that one not as big as this one ^^; )

Made on a 63x82 cm canvas(25x32 inches) and acrylic

It looks great! And it's good that you ended with something you are proud of, even if it is different than the original goal. :) It's beautiful!

Thank you my friend
And I'm glad my granddad were happy for it too. He and his brother (whom like us came to visit) were quick to get it in its frame (There was a frame for it, but unfortunately there were no pre-drilled holes or screws for it. But my granddad have always been very handy, so mom knew he would have no problem with it ^^) and then hang it on his wall.
